I think I'm finished with the list of plants now. It's been a bit odd since I haven't been able to discuss every aspect of these plants since alli_akbar
has been away but I still think I had to make the decision.
Remembering the advice from a previous teacher I have really tried to keep the number of species down. There are so many wonderful plants out there but what I need are plants which really enhances and reflects my ideas. The key features in this garden are:
- contrast, not so much in colours as in textures
- year around experience
Without further ado I give you the selected plants:
Armeria maritima 'Alba'
Bergenia cordifolia 'Bressingham White'
Chionodoxa forbesii 'Pink Giant'
Clematis viticella 'Alba Luxurians'
Cornus sericea 'Farba' E
white-heart cherry (two variations for fruit on Prunus avium root stock)
Prunus pumila var. depressa
Prunus serrulata 'Shogetsu'
Thymus serphyllum 'Album'
